Since 1930, Johns Hopkins University has had a longstanding partnership with India in pioneering research and innovations. This partnership has saved millions of lives through the development of oral rehydration therapy and life-saving vaccines. In the last 10 years, more than 160 JHU faculty members have worked with 100+ Indian partners on several research projects. In 2020, Johns Hopkins University established the Gupta-Klinsky India Institute to focus, amplify and coordinate JHU’s efforts with India. Domain: Antibiotic resistance is a growing challenge that affects healthcare systems worldwide, making it harder to treat infections effectively. To address this issue, Ashoka University is working alongside ANRESIS, the Swiss Centre for Antibiotic Resistance. ANRESIS is a leading organization in Switzerland that monitors antibiotic resistance and how antibiotics are used across the country. This collaboration combines Ashoka’s expertise in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) research with ANRESIS’s robust surveillance system to better understand and tackle this pressing global health problem.

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the 23 IITs created to be Centers of Excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India. Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared as an Institution of National Importance under the “Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963” and was renamed as “Indian Institute of Technology Delhi”. It was then accorded the status of a Deemed University with powers to decide its own academic policy, to conduct its own examinations, and to award its own degrees. Since its inception, over 48000 have graduated from IIT Delhi in various disciplines including Engineering, Physical Sciences, Management and Humanities & Social Sciences. Of these, nearly 5070 received Ph.D. degrees. The number of students who graduated with a B.Tech. degree is over 15738. The rest obtained Master’s Degrees in Engineering, Sciences and Business Administration. These alumni today work as scientists, technologists, business managers and entrepreneurs. The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a public private initiative that has collaboratively evolved through consultations with multiple constituencies including Indian and international academia, state and central governments, multi & bi-lateral agencies and civil society groups. PHFI is a response to redress the limited institutional capacity in India for strengthening training, research and policy development in the area of Public Health. Structured as an independent foundation, PHFI adopts a broad, integrative approach to public health, tailoring its endeavours to Indian conditions and bearing relevance to countries facing similar challenges and concerns. The PHFI focuses on broad dimensions of public health that encompass promotive, preventive and therapeutic services, many of which are frequently lost sight of in policy planning as well as in popular understanding. The Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, launched PHFI on March 28, 2006, in New Delhi. PHFI recognizes the fact that meeting the shortfall of health professionals is imperative to a sustained and holistic response to the public health concerns in the country which in turn requires health care to be addressed not only from the scientific perspective of what works, but also from the social perspective of, who needs it the most.

CCDC has been recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and to attain self-sufficiency in Post-graduate Medical Education. The Institute has comprehensive facilities for teaching, research and patient-care. As provided in the Act, AIIMS conducts teaching programs in medical and para-medical courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and awards its own degrees. Teaching and research are conducted in 42 disciplines. In the field of medical research AIIMS is the lead, having more than 600 research publications by its faculty and researchers in a year. AIIMS also runs a College of Nursing and trains students for B.Sc.(Hons.) Nursing post-certificate) degrees. Twenty-five clinical departments including four super specialty centers manage practically all types of disease conditions with support from pre- and Para-clinical departments. However, burn cases, dog-bite cases and patients suffering from infectious diseases are not entertained in the AIIMS Hospital. AIIMS also manages a 60-bedded hospital in the Comprehensive Rural Health Centre at Ballabgarh in Haryana and provides health cover to about 2.5 lakh population through the Centre for Community Medicine.

RSSDI was founded in 1972 by Prof. M.M.S. Teleradiology Solutions (TRS), rated the number 1 National Teleradiology company in the United states by KLAS in 2011 was founded in 2002 by two Yale University trained physicians. It provides teleradiology services (i.e., CT, MRI, Xray, ultrasounds reports) to over 150 hospitals in the United States. Teleradiology Solutions was among the first teleradiology companies to be accredited by the US Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JC). The company was showcased to US President Obama as an example of health care innovation on his Nov 2010 trip to India. Teleradiology Solutions is a health care company that uses technology for varied purposes from e-teaching to teleradiology to telemedicine, making it a company with a difference.
