Koita Centre for Digital Health at Ashoka
Koita Centre for Digital Health at Ashoka University is a joint Centre of the Trivedi School of Biosciences and the Department of Computer Science at Ashoka University, established with support from Koita Foundation, a philanthropic organisation with a mission to accelerate Digital Health adoption in India. It is an interdisciplinary Centre focused on advancing digital health research, education, and policy. Anchored in the departments of biosciences and computer science, KCDH-A is building capacity in areas such as health data systems, AI/ML in healthcare, genomics, and digital public health. The Centre is working with academic, clinical, and public health partners to develop practical solutions that address real-world healthcare challenges. Through its teaching programs, research collaborations, and public engagement, KCDH-A aims to support the development of scalable, evidence-based digital health approaches tailored to India’s needs.

Research Overview
Koita Centre for Digital Health at Ashoka University (KCDH-A) advances impactful, interdisciplinary research at the intersection of health, data science, and technology. Guided by a vision to reimagine health systems through digital transformation, KCDH-A collaborates with premier academic institutions, government agencies, and international partners to tackle challenges in precision health, health data analytics, digital inclusivity, and clinical innovation
Our research has spanned projects funded by leading organizations such as Koita Foundation, the Gates Foundation, the World Health Organization, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Foundation Botnar, Lady Tata Memorial Trust, IPSN and many more. These initiatives address diverse areas including predictive modeling for cardiometabolic diseases, value-based digital health transformation, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), reproductive health analytics, and the development of youth-friendly digital health frameworks, etc.
