Meet Dr. Ujjaini Dasgupta, Associate Professor (Research) at Koita Centre for Digital Health at Ashoka University. She specialises in lipid biology, with a research focus on metabolic reprogramming in cancer cells and the tumour microenvironment.
In her recent conversation with IndiaBioscience, she shares her journey, from Presidency College to building her own lab after a 6-year research break.
Rejected grants, starting from scratch, and balancing family with science did not stop her.
