This course is designed for introductory exposure to certain widely used mathematical principles in various biological research. The students will learn to delve into the ways in which mathematics helps us understand and interpret biological phenomena. Various biological examples will be chosen to describe the mathematical underpinnings. The students will also perform hand on simple analyses to overcome any mental block for math.
Upon completing this course, students will have a clear understanding of the integral role that mathematics plays in studying and understanding various biological phenomena.
